The holiday busy busy go go go time is coming up. The economy isn't great and many of us are holding tight onto a job or trying to find one. *Sigh*
So with thanksgiving coming up I need to post what I have been thankful for this past year....
God - there .. all the time
Family - In the past couple of years I have lost a couple of grandparents. My advice hold on to them as long as you can. Take their words and remember them. Ask them questions. Tell them you love them. Ask them about their past, how they met their first true love, the war, the heartbreaks... they are people too. They once were young too! My family has always been there for me through thick and thin and again I am thankful for them!
Friends - New and old. I realize that friends really do come and go. Some friends judge you others accept all your faults. Some get jealous and others are happy for you. I have met some amazing people this year and many of them I am proud to call friends as well as good friends. Some friends have been there at the exact moment when I need them. Others have always been there without a doubt. I have changed a lot this past year as well as gone through many changes and am thankful to those that not only accept that but also welcome it with open arms. I have found friends in the oddest corners of my life and am thankful for that. Reconnecting with the old friends has been a blessing too. There is a reason for each person in my life and though I will never understand each and every one, I am still thankful for them.
Volleyball - Yes, I am thankful for the sport, for without it I may go insane. It has been a blessing as well as an outlet. Not only do I get to play my favorite sport but I also get to spend time with some wonderful people.
Job/car/House/food/ect - It's these things that I over look so much but am truly thankful for them. It's amazing how this world is a world of want and you can never have enough. But when it comes down to it we should be thankful for what we have.
My pup- Corney....yes! I am so thankful for Gabby, she's one of the best dogs I could ever have. I can't imagine what she went through before we adopted her at the HS but am glad that she is ours. She is a strong willed girl but it just melts my heart when she cuddles with me. She can make my worse days all the better.
Everything else - There are so many things to be thankful for too that I could post forever and ever. But I am thankful for where I am in my life right now. I am constantly learning and growing up. It's not always easy and I have had many tears through this year but I wouldn't change anything about this year. With life comes learning and I feel like I am doing that daily now.
