6 months later....

and I still ask myself..."is she really mine?" Yes little Adeline turned 6 months today! Where does the time go? She has gone from a string bean to a healthy chubby baby. Though many would disagree wtih me that she's chubby...compared to what she was like she is a chubby baby!

As you will see above is a picture of Adeline at 1 week old next to a picture I took last week of her at 26 weeks old. There's bit of a difference!

I have found myself thinking about the past and our journey of becoming parents. No one could of ever convinced me the challenges there would be or that it would be a road with bumps and turns. BUT on that brisk morning in March we welcomed Adeline into our family. She is amazing and wonderful.

Her new thing is laughing at the dog. She has giggled for quite some time now but recently she found that almost anything Gabby does is funny. She thinks it's especially hilarious when Gabby is play growing while we play tug o war with her. Adeline gets very bright eyed and laughs. She also is noticing 'new' things and when she finds something 'new' that interests her those baby blue eyes get very wide and she gets this facial expression that just cracks me up.

Next week is her 6 month appointment and I'm, of course, nervous for her. I hate those darn shots they have to give her. Poor thing. But she's a champ and will do just fine. I'm excited to see where she is on the charts for heigh and weight. When she was born she was in the 8th percentile for weight and 35% for height (I think). I'm sure she has surpassed that by quite a bit.
