Cookies, and cleaning and registering.... oh my!!

I took a personal day on Friday since #1 I need to use them before the end of the year and #2 because I had lots to do before this coming Wednesday. When I take off a workday to work at home I have to say that I am very productive (and humble about it... ). Friday morning came and Greg left for work around 5:45am. I wasn't feeling well so I stayed in bed until 7:00. Once I was up I had this kick of energy that came with NO caffeine. Most of the house is visitor ready except for the bedroom. Our bedroom was a mess and I have been avoiding it for quite some time. But I decided to go for it with all my might. Within an hour the room looked pretty darn good. The hurricane Brown had been cleaned up and it was time to get some laundry started. After the laundry was started it was time to prepare some Betty Crocker time. :) I got out all of my recipes, ingredients and utensils needed. Within a couple hours I had baked Chocolate chip holiday cookies, chew ginger snaps, chocolate chip ginger snaps, PB blossoms, and Hershey surprises. I was pretty impressed. The ginger snaps needed a little extra attention but got them figured out with the help of google! :) Greg had a half day on Friday so he was home by early afternoon which was nice.

The rest of the weekend was pretty packed full with preparing for our early Christmas. With that we had snow...loved it!!  The weekend involved organizing (nesting) and planning (nesting) and cleaning (nesting). Pretty much everything I do lately my hubby calls it nesting...which I believe because it's a constant go go go.

We did fit in registering as well Sunday evening. There was a lot of research done before we entered the store. We joined consumer reports online and found lots of good info, read review after review and falling upon a website made for tall parents to be.... heaven! I registered online so we didn't have to waste any time at the desk listening to the lady explain what we need to do. Off we went.... registering, easy, right? NOT! lol. It wasn't hard but there are just so many things that you can register for. I had to laugh at some of the things that you really don't need to register for yet it was on the "must have " list that the store gave us. Is a baby wipe warmer a "must have"....no, but it might be nice to have but it's not a must. Geesh...lol. The biggest thing we wanted to try out was the stroller to make sure we weren't going to end up with bruised shins and sore backs from bending over. Luckily we found exactly what we were looking for! :) After 2-3 hours of registering, blood shot eyes, and no longer happy spirited faces, we left. We got about 3/4 of the way done but the rest will be done online. lol. Good times, just too much for one evening. Needless to say the other store that we are registering at will be done 3/4 online.

Tomorrow...the inlaws come in to town! I'm so excited to celebrate Christmas twice and once with my new little niece Kathryn! I can't wait to see her. The last time I saw her she was only 1 week old! She better get used to the camera cause Auntie K is going to be flashing away!!!!
