Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

We had our first snow storm of the season this year. It was beautiful but did cause some problems for some people around the metro area. I heard it was coming but you never know if the weatherman is right or wrong. So when I woke up to a bright room at such an early hour I knew that once I threw open the windows that yes indeed it would be snowing. And snow, wow, did it ever snow. The hubby and I were making breakfast and suddendly our power went out...boo!! Luckily for us we have a gas range so we were still able to make breakfast and enjoyed it by the light of the windows. Soon enough our electricity was restored and I was back to cleaning. My inlaws are coming in for an early Christmas and I'm hosting. This means I get to decorate early!! Woohoo!!! I usually wait until after Thanksgiving to put up the Christmas decorations but not this year. So needless to say I had to clean before getting into the fun of Christmas decorating. Saturday was all about the main floor. I got everything to a point where I could decorate now. Next on my list was a project that I wanted to finish sooner rather than later. I"m not sure if this will be a Christmas gift or a just because gift but its something I wanted to finish because it's time consuming. Anyway I finished it Sunday and I am so excited to give this to my friend.
Greg and I also took a trip to a furniture store to take a look at a few things. #1 headboard/foot, #2 TV lift and #3Changing table/dresser for the nursery. We didn't have much luck but it was still fun to look. We then took off to the mall and bought a few Christmas gifts. Yeah us!
Sunday was then filled with a little more cleaning, football watching and comfort food eatin. It was a nice weekend and I am so ready for the Christmas season!
