It's Friday and the week before Thanksgiving....already!! I can't believe how fast Thanksgiving has come and then all of a sudden it will be Christmas. Amazing...
Yesterday after work I had to go and pick up our CSA fruit share. It's coming to the end of the season so I wasn't expecting too much. On my way there I picked up the dog since she loves car rides. So off we went to pick up the fruit. We got lots of apples, pears and some cranberries, and dates. (def not as much as we're used to getting but understandable at the same time. Anyway, on the way home I noticed a very bad thing starting to happen in the back seat. Of course I was driving in an area where there was no where to pull over. Finally I am able to turn into a parking lot but it's too late. Gabby (my dog) got sick in the back and threw up. :( Poor girl. Luckily I was able to get her out of the car for the second showing. lol. Poor thing, I think she got car sick which has happened two or three other times. Lesson #1 learned... always have a roll of paper towels in the car. I had nothing but a microfiber cloth that i use to clean the windows with. So I cleaned up as much as I could, put Gabby in the front seat and drove right over to my mom's house to pick up the deep cleaner. When I got home I cleaned up the mess real quick and was good to go. Ah the excitement... can't wait for my little one to arrive.... then the real excitement and "lessons learned" will start!
I have many good things planned for this weekend. Lets see what I can get accomplished! One thing I really want to figure out is my camera. I took a class back in HS and have always enjoyed taking photos but never really got in to the technicalities of it all. Since we will be welcoming in a new little pea pod in March I Want to be ready to go with the camera. My biggest problem is no flash photography. I have such a hard time with it. So i did ask for a tripod for Christmas which I know will help some. But how do you capture those quick smirks, pouts and funny faces without a flash?? That's my problem. So Gabby will be my subject, since she doesn't stand still either and I'm going to practice practice practice. Maybe I need better lighting in the house. That could def be a problem. Well, we'll see how it goes. Other than that it's time to decorate and organize....maybe even paint the nursery!! :)
Today marks the 24 weeks along in pregnancy! Wow... I can't believe it's already been 24 weeks. So blessed!
