It's your love

5 years ago I was finishing up a morning run with my friend Dixie. It was a beautiful morning, maybe a little chilly. It started a small tradition. Running with each other (and Mary too) on your wedding day. After the run I went back and showered. From there started my wedding day. It rained a bit that morning, but as you've heard it before, that's good luck! It was around 9am when the hair appointments started. It was so fun to just hang with the girls. My hairdresser was a doll! Sonja, my hero, had my dress in her SUV all laid out and picked me up to go to the church. It's funny the details that you remember and the ones you forget. I remember being in the dressing room and having a fun time with the girls. Some of them were painting their nails, some were just chatting. Sonja and Katie, my PAs, were amazing. They just knew everything that needed attention or helped whenever someone needed help. I remember meeting Greg for the first time before the wedding in the small chapel. The girls were peaking in, i think. Otherwise we were on our own (well we had the photographers). Greg teared up and I was beyond joyful. After pictures were finished up the wedding started. Walking down the aisle to Cannon in D has always been my dream, and it came true! I walked down that aisle smiling ear to ear. I kept telling my dad to slow down a bit cause I'm sure he wasn't a fan of everyone looking at us. Walking towards Greg who teared up a little again (as well as our pastor) just seemed unreal. The day had finally arrived. The piano and violin played in the background and then the ceremony started. That quickly it ended. I could go on and on about the pictures that my cousin took for us a Irvine park, and how we wanted to ride in my uncles old car but it wasn't running so we had to be driven off in my cousin's car, or how our first dance was It's Your Love by my favorite country artist, Tim McGraw... or how my single guy friends brought in liquor even though we had open bar for a long long time, maybe even how a couple of my girls from track that I coached dropped by the wedding to say congrats, or even how the party just didn't want to end....there are so many memories of that day. I just can't believe it's really been 5 years! The evening ended and we drove home in a decorated jeep. We thought about going to a store just so we could walk around in a wedding dress and tux but we went home. My first night in our home. Waiting for us was a little gift basket with champagne from Greg's family. It was a very nice gesture. By the next morning it was all over. My aunt hosted a lovely gift opening for us. We brought Gabby our dog, who had surgery on the day of our wedding. (I didn't know about the surgery until it was over and she was in recovery!) The rest of that week I moved into our house and by Friday we were leaving for the Bahamas!!

Awww...it was so great to be included in your wedding. Time flies and some of the memories can fade, it's so great you are documenting like this! Love ya!
