Busy Summers!
Summer is in full force and I'm so busy that I don't know where the days go. I can't believe that next week marks the beginning of August already! This week is not exception to the busy life. Work has been crazy almost everyday which is wonderful because the days go by fast. I also had a Caribou date with my dear friend Brittany. It was a beautiful night and we had a wonderful conversation. It truly amazes me the people that have come into my life at different times. Some are oh too short but much appreciated and others are a constant building relationship. Gotta love it... I ran in the torchlight 5k in Minneapolis on Wednesday. With the sounds of the city, running on the city street, people crowding the sidewalks, and the cool breeze, it made for a beautiful run. I'm appreciating the city more and more this summer. There is just so much to do there! Granted I think my soulmate is between the city and the country but I have yet to find it. Anyways, the run went well and I did an average for time. I was excited that I was part of the first big wave of people. I'm not trained in running or racing at all so I know that I started off at the wrong pace because I wanted to die at the end of the race. Typically when I run I have a good amount of energy towards the end of the run but not this time. I think my legs were quivering. Anyways, after the run they had the typical food and refreshments. The very odd thing was that besides the granola bars, water and bananas they had pizza and beer!?! HA! I had to laugh. I can't really eat after a run so the pizza was out for sure. I considered the beer but the thought made me want to hurl. So I thought maybe I would wait a little bit and then grab some beer. It was free for the runners after all. By the time I was ready for some cold beer the line was way too long. So no beer for me...owell. Anywho, yesterday Greg and I went to see Dark Knight yesterday. Summary: dark....very dark. I don't mean to sound rash but Ledger put out a performance that would be heard to beat. I think he was amazing...well maybe amazing isn't the correct term. How about he was so realistic that I don't know if I could ever look at him the same if he were still alive. So yes, the hype of Ledger blew me away. He really put out a performance that will not be soon forgotten. As for today and this weekend I'm not sure yet. There are talks of Lumberjack days either today or tomorrow....maybe both. I know that I want to clean the house up though. Other than that life goes on...
