Jumping on

I had a blog a while back that came from Livejounal. I found it to be fun but lost touch in keeping it updated. Today I am going to start another blog and really try to keep it updated as much as possible. Well, we'll see how it goes.

My in-laws were in town from Thursday (Dec 13) through Tuesday (Dec 18). It was a good time filled with lots and lots of activity. They came in around 5pm on Thursday and Greg went to pick them up. My volleyball league had playoffs so they came to watch a couple of games. My team is not very good so I was not in the greatest mood when they came but soon loosened up. Friday was a pretty laid back day. Greg's family did some last minute shopping while I prepped for the Thanksristmas dinner that would be taking place on Saturday. Saturday we all went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra which was AMAZING!! We sat pretty high up in the stands which gave us a wonderful view of the laser show as well as the lovely pyrotechnics. After the show I with the help of my mother-in-law got dinner started. Dinner turned out well with the exception of my mom's famous raspberry jell-o that was a little tart on the raspberry side but I still liked it. We then open gifts which was fun and of course full of surprises. I think the biggest surprise was probably a gift that Greg and I gave to Perresa (Greg's sister). Her love language is gift giving so she is always giving such nice gifts so we really wanted to do something special for her. Well we decided to give her an Ipod...old news for many but she had been wanting one. Greg, the tech geek, found a nice 30gb Ipod on the applestore for a great price and we bought it. She was pretty surprised to say the least. Sunday we hung-out and then went to see Pompeii which was also amazing. Monday we went to the MOA and then to the TI Casino. Tuesday was the day they left so most of the day was taken up by packing and making sure that everything was taken. It was quite a trip for them and filled to the brim as usual. We of course went out to eat a lot which is something we do when we are out in MD too. The restaurants we went to are as follows: Caribou (not a restaurant but we did go there), Little Oven, Atlantic Buffet, Qcumbers and ate Papa Murphy's...there might have been another restaurant too but it has slipped my memory. The time that they were here went by fast and we look forward to them coming out again in the spring or summer.
