Another busy weekend

When I take a look at my weeks you would think I could write and write about them but it's pretty much the mundane day to day things. If I didn't work I would have so much more to say because I know I would be a project/hobby/craft FREAK! In a good way though, of course. Last Thursday was my work potluck. I'm so glad that my hubby was able to join in on the fun of being there for a shower. Boys aren't typically invited to these things and I think G enjoyed it. Anyway he did get to meet many of my co-workers which is nice. I pretty much talk about our lunch table chats at dinner every night. Putting a face to a name probably helps in out now. i do work with quite the group of characters so there is story almost every night. As for the food.... amazing. My group does not disappoint when it comes to potlucks and both G and I had a good amount of helpings. Then gifts, wow... humbled and blessed. The group got together and bought our Travel system (stroller, base and car seat) along with an extra base and a generous monetary gift. It was so kind and of course I got all teary eyed. I absolutely loved the little surprise of a Junebug personalize license plate that was made for our little girl as well. One word, adorable! The plate is a Minnesota plate that has been princess-ized! On the plate it says land of 10,000 princesses. ha! Very cute! We also received some outfits, a few gift cards and a seat protector to go under the car seat. All in all our little girl was very blessed with such nice gifts. I still had to work for a couple of hours after the shower so G went home and took a nap while I went back to my desk and basically napped as well! lol.
Saturday was our all day birth class at the hospital. It was LONG but pretty interesting. I had some questions answered which was nice. There were about 17 couples there so it was a full house for sure. Most of them were due Feb-April with a few May/June sprinkled in. I loved seeing all the bellies. It amazes me how all women just carry differently. No one was carrying multiples and all were first time parents. After the very long day of class we did get to tour the maternity wing. It's beautiful and calming and just perfect. Needless to say we were pretty exhausted after that class. We got home around 5 and had to clean up some for the baby shower on Sunday.
Sunday came and went by so quickly I wish I had a pause button to slow down the day. It was my friend baby shower. The two hostesses did an amazing job. Games were fun, decorations were cute and food was fantastic! I hadn't seen many of these ladies for a long time so it was just so nice to be able to share this event with them. Everyone seemed to have a great time. I can't say much more than I wish I could have get togethers like that every single weekend. It was nice to hangout with friends from the past and present. I had one friend show up that I haven't seen for a couple years.... so wonderful! Again, these ladies spoiled our Lil peanut. We received many wonderful gifts and definitely things that we need for this little girl.
The weekend went by quickly and it already was Monday and then that is when the week slows down. Back to mundane day to day, which is somewhat comforting but somewhat boring. This Friday is G's work shower that I will be going to. Can't wait to see all of his peeps, many of which I haven't seen since this past summer. Saturday will be yet another shower with my family.... wow.
At one point I"ll blink and we'll have a little girl in our arms....amazing.
