There are plenty of things I should be doing right now including working on a map that is almost finished, meetings for 2011, an international visitor, etc etc. Yet my mind is scattered. I have way too many things on my mind and find that I forget them if I actually relax, go figure. So out comes one of my favorite things in the whole wide world.... lined post-it notes to make a list! Yea, nerd I am. I swear if you take a look in my purse you will find old mini lists but this list calls for a large post-it pad.
Speaking of scatterbrain... I had my birthday weekend last weekend. It was a busy weekend to say the least but there was most definitely something missing. Maybe I'm just sad about getting older....this is my last year in the 20s... AHHH scary clown. Friday Greg and I went out to dinner. It was okay, we tried a new restaurant but found that we probably should of stayed at our old restaurant. Saturday G and I, my nephew and sis in law, parents, and second parents went to one of my favorite restaurants for my bday. It was lovely as usual. My nephew said something very cute but I'll have to talk about that later. We then went to my parents for bday cake. My mom made an amazing homemade chocolate cake...YUM! Sunday G and I took my parents out for their 40th anniversary! The food was pretty good at that restaurant as well. Needless to say I'm real tired of going out to eat. That didn't stop G and I from going out on Monday. We went out to dinner before heading to my first Twins game! It was pretty darn fun. I can only imagine what those fancy shamcy seats are like but I was very happy with ours. They won which was a bonus as well.
And now the week is dragging. I'm hoping today goes by quickly but who knows. Tomorrow there is 100% chance of rain....would be a great day to take off of work and get some things checked off my to do list. But I don't have much vacation time left in the year so I should probably save that for now.
Now that all of that is off my brain I should probably try and be productive. Uff dah!
