Awhile back a friend of mine sent me some lyrics to a song. If you know me you know I like to look into lyrics and find my own meaning for them....I don't do this as much as I used to but I still enjoy trying to figure out what is trying to be said in the song. Anyway this song is simple and the music itself isn't all that extravagant. The words, as simple as they seem, are very wise.
I recently ran across this song and found myself very intrigued by the lyrics. They are straightforward and you don't have to search for the meaning. The meaning of the song is great, in my opinion anyway. It all starts out with one simple thing and then follows some various script of advice and ramblings (much like me currently....rambling). It ends with the same advice it started with. I really looked at each and every lyric searching for one piece that was greater than the rest. Trying to pick out my favorite stanza is pretty much impossible because there are too many to choose from. After reading it a few times I think this is a top favorite.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.
How true and simple this is. I don't know maybe I'm just bored on a Thursday morning and am just rambling. Anyway I find it interesting how a song can touch you so greatly and how it touches others without you even knowing it. I think this song is one that many may need to listen to or even just read in the days that we live in today. Not everything is about money there is so much more out there.
Current Song : (any guesses?)
