Weekend...

This past weekend Greg and I had a nice date night. We decided to go to the movie Seven Pounds to start off the night. Not truly a feel-good movie but nonetheless it was a passionate and profound movie. Will Smith is one of my favorite actors especially since he seems to be in unique and interesting movies lately. Anyway I think I cried for most of the movie. After that we went home to change in to some nicer dinner outfits. I actually wore a dress....yikes! Anyway we had a gc to The Lexington so Greg had made reservations to go there. It was my first time there as well as Greg's. Every time we drive by there I think of my Grandma. My parents and her siblings would take Grandma there for her birthday every year. Anyway Greg got a chicken dish and I got the Mahi Mahi. Both were Delicious! We had also gotten this stuffed red pepper for an appetizer. We decided to make it a true night out and even got dessert there. We shared chocolate cake with some Baily's mousse. The Mousse was TO DIE FOR! It was amazing. I was very impressed with this restaurant. The manager came to ever single table. He even went to some tables twice. It was great! From there we decided to drive to downtown ST. Paul and look at the lights and ice sculptures. We were sadly mistaken... there was a parade going on so many of the streets were blocked off. Not a big deal. We headed home and off to relax.

So back to this movie. Just wondering if any of you that may read my blog has seen it and what did you think? I don't know if I would see it again. It's hard to say. A movie with that much emotion and heartache and guilt can really stick with you. I can't even imagine how they came up with this storyline. It has really got me thinking about if there was more to it then what is on the surface of the movie. Like, why seven? Seven is a very strong and meaningful number especially for Christians. I know he choose seven because of the victims but why did the director go with seven. Why not four or eight? I don't know. Maybe I'm over analyzing. I just think there could really be some good deep meaning to it. Seven seems to be a number of "completeness" which could be the reason for the number in the movie. Because if you've seen the movie you saw that he had chosen seven people to 'give' to and one of them didn't end up being a good person so he didn't just let that go... instead he choose another person to keep with seven people. Anyway I'm done analyzing because I should be working... Any thoughts???...
