It's the start of another week and a cold start it is. 20 degrees this morning...are you kidding me? I'm so not ready for this yet. Greg and I went out and bought a cute stove looking heater thing. Currently our furnace is 'red-tagged' so therefore we cannot turn it on....good timing, not! Anyway I'm hoping that we will have a new one soon. It's not fun having to have space heaters on everywhere but you do what you gotta do. I do like our little new heater, it's pretty cute. As we were on our Menard's trip to get that heater we also bought some necessary things for the garage. I'm pretty excited to get the garage more organized finally. Of course Menard's had their Christmas display completely up and running...sigh. I love Christmas, don't get me wrong, BUT seriously can we please celebrate Thanksgiving first before getting the Christmas stuff out? Anyway we did buy some lights for the house, but not ordinary lights, we got solar LED lights....lol. Yep, well we will see how those work. If they are a hit then wonderful and if not oh well.
I had a volleyball tournament this weekend. This was the first tourney of the year. It went alright. I was pretty annoyed at the fact that I had a splitting headache the whole day. One of those headaches where you can hardly even concentrate because every single sound is piercing...yea that kind of headache. The timing on that was not great considering I was in a large, loud gym all day. Anyway we did alright. We lost in the playoffs but luckily a friend of mine and her team took the tourney. I'm hoping to play in a few more tourney's but probably with a different team. I can't say that I clicked with this team very well but that's okay since I only knew one other gal. Also I was pretty rusty on the position they wanted me to play. Originally I was told I was playing in my regular power-side position but then apparently there were three of us that wanted to play that position so I took the short stick and played the right-side....not a favorite but owell. Can't say I did too well but I tried. Anyway after the tournament I am realizing that I need to do something with my shoulder or consider not playing so much volleyball. So my plan of attach is to first get my binders out and restart my PT, secondly try acupuncture (I got a referral from a friend) and thirdly listen to my shoulder and not overwork it like I have for the past few years. So that's that.
I got to see my nephew yesterday which was a treat. He's such a little....S**T and I love it! He absolutely cracks me up. He is 100% boy with just a tinch of mama's boy in him. Greg and I stopped over at my parent's house after our Menard's trip and were welcomed by the dog and Eli. He is getting pretty good at automatically saying please and thank you which is just adorable. It sounds more like "peas and "tan tu" but is precious all the same. I can't believe he is going to be two soon! Greg and I bought him his first hockey stick with puck and ball....MN wild of course. I'm excited to see if he likes it. You just never know with Eli what he will like and what he will just turn his head at.
Time to get some work done......more later......
