Volleyball

Volleyball is in full swing this week. I'm so excited and I even got to sub for a team on Tuesday. So this week I have three evenings of volleyball. As I sat and chatted with my women's league i realized how much we have in common. It sounds weird but volleyball is a part of us. Some of us didn't play for a year or two and it totally made a negative impact on our lives. We either gained weight, got really 'depressed' or just had a negative attitude without knowing why. So, in this crazy life a part of me is volleyball which I don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing. I think its great to be able to spend time with people that I normally wouldn't or if i did it would be very sparse. I have met some really interesting and neat people in my journey of volleyball. We all agree that it's not like the good ol college days where you eat, slept and breathed volleyball but its still feel good when you step onto that court. I love the competition and the drive that I get when I play volleyball. It's just you, your team and that darn ball. No mercy is sometimes the thought that goes through my head when i'm playing. I always feel like I have something to prove to the other team...whether it be, yes i'm a girl but that doesn't mean that i can't hit, or just because i'm not 18 doesn't mean that i can move...or other various thoughts that go through my head when i'm playing. Anyways, thats my random thought! I love the game, I love the sport!
